Over the last few years Francis Hanna & Company has been dealing with claims on behalf of patients who were fitted with a DePuy ASR hip implant, either during hip replacement or hip resurfacing and who later experienced problems.
Most of these individuals required further surgery for revision, or are expected to require revision surgery in the future. We have been dealing with many of these cases on behalf of victims throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland against the manufacturer of the components, DePuy International Limited.
We have been involved in active negotiations on behalf of all of our clients with their Solicitors in London with a view to resolving each of the cases with them.
Over the last few years we have been collating all of the relevant x-rays and medical notes and records in respect of all of these claims and now we are currently in discussions with DePuy International Limited about possible settlement of these claims. For the most part, the claims are in respect of the pain and suffering and loss of amenity that each person has experienced as a result of having to go through these unnecessary procedures, which in many instances was very significant indeed.
We would strongly advise any person affected by the ASR DePuy implant recall that has not sought legal advice as yet, to do so immediately as strict time limits apply in cases of this type and we would advise people to make contact with us by return. Given the progress we have made on behalf of all of our clients to date, we have no hesitation in saying that it is in every victim’s interests to contact us with a view to exploring entitlement to compensation immediately.
